  1. There aren’t many upsides to being old, but being in high school when Creedence was at their peak is one of them.

    1. I’m almost 40 and I’m thankful I got to know what it was like to grow up in a time before internet, smarts phones and social media where shared cultural experiences, particularly music, meant something. Now everything is homogenized and we’re all consuming different media. I miss the days where music meant something and millions of people went to the theatre and experienced the same movies or season finale’s of TV shows together. It feels like the fabric of society is being unwound by the technology of today and it’s sad. I’d like to just say I’m wearing nostalgia glasses but it really does feel like those days were objectively better than today. Particularly because I feel like this cultural shift started in the late 90s when I was still a teen and has just gotten worse over time.

    2. Being old is the greatest upside, I have many friends that didn’t get to be old and it’s heartbreaking to think of them, Vietnam 68-69

    3. @Noah I agree! In John Fogerty’s book “Fortunate Son”, he describes himself as “metaphorical”. I’m sure that John would agree with your sentiment that “The fabric of society is being unwound”. ?

Ptta.
      La rola ?

CCR has certainly made it’s mark on the world of music . Sadly those days are long past.

Essa música ? é um clássico, passe o tempo que se passar ela continua sendo muito boa.

  4. I remember my dad listening CCR a lot when I was a kid and mostly remember this song. He passed away a week ago today. As difficult as it is to hear this song, I desperately need it at the same time. I miss you dad?

    1. Lost my dad 11/30/22. He listen to this band all the time. Wouldn’t imagine ccr bringing so many people
In the same situation as me. Sending love

Lindamente bela esta canção! Lembro que o primeiro baile no clube da minha cidade, e com Luz negra, essa era a música que marcou todos nós, a se o o tempo voltasse atrás.

  6. Classic Rock Lyrics

I didn’t need the alarm today, this song played in my mind and I couldn’t help but to wake up and sing along.

    yes, imagine.

  7. Lyrics: | “Have You Ever Seen the Rain” – CCR. |
    Someone told me long ago
There’s a calm before the storm
I know, it’s been comin’ for some time
When it’s over, so they say
    It’ll rain a sunny day
I know, shinin’ down like water

I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain?
I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain
Comin’ down on a sunny day?

    Yesterday and days before
Sun is cold and rain is hard
I know, been that way for all my time
    ‘Til forever on it goes
Through the circle, fast and slow
    I know, it can’t stop, I wonder

I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain?
I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain
Comin’ down on a sunny day?

    Yeah
I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain?
I wanna know, have you ever seen the rain
Comin’ down on a sunny day? END.
