Am I the only person on the earth who can play this song on repeat for an hour? Also, can you provide me a more happy and joyful song than this? No? Didn’t think so.
?@Crazy Canuck John was the lead guitarist of the band, dummy. He can do plenty more than chords. One search will show you that. And he gets paid a lot more than you do to perform.
Absolutely love this video. They don’t make music like this anymore. Made with heart and soul. Love the facial expressions and everything. Wish there were more like it
The Band seems so relaxed and “Natural” yet the Lyrical Message is POWERFUL…
CCR were a Band that seemed to speak for the working class Americans, according to most accounts. As a youngster hearing their Memorable Songs, it’s enlightening to learn THE IMPACT THAT THEY ESTABLISHED on Popular American Music…
Thank You JOHN FOGERTY, TOM, and Bandmates for your Musical Leadership. It’s SO APPRECIATED!!!!
My mom loved the Lord with all her heart and died early at 51. As a small child I would see her in the kitchen doing dishes and she would be singing this old song. My how I miss her tonight. Hug your living loved ones and tell them how much you love them because when the Lord takes them home it will change you forever. I am 65 now but I still remember her singing this like it was yesterday. May this song bring you hope and comfort!
I lost my mother in a few months back, September on her 60th birthday. She was in the hospital for several months after falling. Then she was on a machine that breathes for people. But was mentally alert. Could even make phone calls and speak low.
Then, she got ill in there, which isn’t unheard of in hospitals though. Still, she was ok, but was on antibiotics and or, another medicine that made her fine. However, she’s been severely depressed since my brother passed away in 2002. She got tired. Mentally and physically and made the decision to go off of her meds that were keeping her alive and the breathing machine.
I tried to talk her out of it. I was up at this Jersey hospital to see her for the last time. It was devastating! I didn’t know somebody could choose to die in the states. Like, fully mentally aware. Not deathly sick or anything. She was awake and sitting up talking when I saw her that last time. It makes me sick to my stomach.
I can’t undo it! I can’t
Bands like CCR get me thinking of her because she loved them!
But she was the only friend remaining. I have nobody alive to speak to accept my older sister, but she is busy with a life of her own. I’m only 35, and it all seems pointless now, already. My brother when I was 14, my best friend when I was 17, my father when I was 22, my younger sister when I was 28, and now my mother!
I’m sorry for your loss. I’m sorry for spilling my self in the comments too!
Despite my words, it does and will get better for you!
Peace be with you!
I just don’t understand why
Born in 69, my dad was USAF, served from 57-78. Growing up in the backseat of a 69 Charger, listening to CCR on 8 Track, this entire Album was Awesome, but must say, this song stuck out, and takes me back, riding in Dad’s Dodge Charger.. ?
Just can’t deny that ccr is one of the best bands ever, and considering that the band lasted for only couple of years, it’s just impressive, and this song just didn’t go old. Good work from theese men!!!!!!
As I listen to this timeless classic, the lyrics transport me back to a simpler time, when life seemed to move at a slower pace. The music stirs memories of warm summer nights, and the longing for freedom and adventure. But as the song comes to an end, it also serves as a reminder to cherish the present moment, and to not take for granted the beauty of the world around us. Thank you Creedence Clearwater Revival for creating such an emotional and impactful piece of music

No , you are not alone .
Yeah, you’re definitely the only person on earth with that ability. Seems logical

My kids would go to sleep to CCR playing low and soft on the hour ride home from my moms??????
This song really ties the room together.
well as long as it doesn’t get pissed on….
I came here to do just this. I’m crying my eyes out missing my grandpa singing and playing this on his guitar just rocking out
The dude abides
Played out
And these guys in the band broke it up.
I can’t even lie, this song makes me happy af. No matter what the world throws at you, it can be fixed with alittle CCR.
This song really ties the room together.
?
Preach it brother!
You are so fn correct sir.
I hear you on that. I love this song
One of the most underrated bands of all time. Such feel good music
What the hell do you mean underrated? Your mama must have dropped you on your head when you were a baby…. smh
@Fanta Di Rienzo right like they’re some obscure band that only a few people know about .
Right completly
Amazing country sound
Do you mind??
Messy hair, not fancy clothes, next door boys type, not special effect , no fancy instruments or computer recording but the greatest musicians ?
Drugs were better too 😉

So true
@Crazy Canuck I think he was remarking on the fact that bands today are not as musically talented and don’t produce the quality of music that CCR did.

Blacktop mojo is similar!
@HockeyTown Luv not true since John had 2 rules no drugs when they were recording or preforming.
@Diane Getz I don’t really believe it either
@HockeyTown Luv totally up to you, but ive read and heard the three surviving members say and write the exact opposite.
Easily one of the greatest bands of all time
My deceased father loved this band.

@Pam Allinder pam, I lost my father, brother and younger sister because of drugs.
But, I cannot imagine losing a child! I am so sorry

The most legendary, wholesome jam in history. The band is so happy and so are the listeners. We’re all just having a great time.
Of course they are. Look at their eyes. They’re frying balls. “ just got home from Illinois/ lock the backdoor/ oh boy… lol
@John Linehan they never did drugs while they recorded or preformed. The song came to be from him coming off the road and reading a book to his son.
They were high when they wrote the song for sure, all the same, a beautiful vibe and it makes me so happy.
My uncle LOVES this song I can sing it good
I always listen to this song banging on the roof of my imaginary Ford Gran Torino 1973
The most remarkable voice ever!
Mister John Foggerty ladies and Gentleman!
In Germany, CCR could only be beaten by the Beatles and Stones. All of my friends knew their songs by heart.
Great times????

I love this song! I’m a truck Driver and this song is on my playlist for my travel! ???
